MORNINGTON PENINSULAR

This is a journey that is different to the others.   Previously I have had a home to return to after my adventures were over.  This is a brave giant step outside the comfort zone as there is no house to return to.  It is a time of being aware entirely of who I am with no distractions.   There is the question of where am I going?   It is a time for trust and adventure.
After leaving the comfort's of Belinda's home in Melbourne I have driven down to the Mornington Peninsular.  I wanted to go the Hot Springs which I did.  It was a cold day and just right for sitting around in hot steaming pools for 3 hours.  It is a beautiful place and very popular.  I got there at 8 am for the earlybird special.
I decided to go to the cinema in the evening and had the whole cinema to myself.  That is a first.  I saw Paper Towns which is a  teen coming of age movie.  Definitely worth a look and some messages for everyone.
I stayed in a very quiet caravan park - Blairgowrie Caravan Park.  The mature gentleman who showed me to my spot said he has had the park for over 50 years.  It is mainly permanent caravans and I appeared to be the only campervan there.  the amenities were very dated and lots of original signage.
Sorrento has lots of shops and cafes and it is easier to spend time wondering around.
The next night I went to the cinema again in preference to sitting in my van at night.  I saw Walking the Camino - Six Ways to Santiago.  It was a documentary and worth watching.  Each person doing the walk was there for a different reason and saw life a little differently at the end.  Very inspiring.
This time there was me and one other in the cinema!!!
Tonight I am camped in a park next to the bay.  Very cold and windy.

A new adventure.....

It is a very different adventure this time. I have sold my home and now my van is my home. A big change for me after 15 years of living in a lovely small community in the country. I will miss my neighbours who became my friends. A reluctant move as I so much enjoyed living there but my time of mowing lots of grass and gardening etc was becoming a chore so time to move on to new possibilities. I am in Melbourne having a lovely time with my niece and her family. There are lots of places to go and shops etc but so much traffic that it scares me!!! I think I already long for country life. We have had fun at op shops and got a few bargains and already know where the best op shops are. The Salvos are by far the most expensive. I had a lovely visit to Lara's cafe and had a very nice chicken and leek pastie. The chai tea there is excellent too. Also had a melting moment which does melt in the mouth. The next stop along the road....is....watch this spot.
